The 2nd November 2020 marked the start of the 30th Anniversary year for the West Midlands CARE Team. The team continues to go from strength to strength and is more active than ever,  having undertaken more operational shifts in the first half of 2020, than we did throughout the whole of 2019. Whilst the COVID 19 peak forced other enhanced services in the region to draw down their service to free up paramedics to support the ambulance service, we were able to ensure that 7-day critical care coverage for the Birmingham area was maintained throughout. This increased coverage comes at a cost, requiring greater levels of funding to keep our response vehicles on the road and equipped with the most up to date equipment.

By supporting our 30 for 30 Challenge, you can make a real difference to local people’s lives by keeping our lifesaving service on the road.

How can you Support Us?

As part of our 30 for 30 campaign this year we have a number of ways in which you can help support the team:

Take on a 30 for 30 Fundraising Challenge

It couldn’t be easier to get involved. Simply make up a 30-themed challenge then encourage your family and friends to sponsor you for your 30 for 30 efforts. Follow the link for challenge ideas and details on how to register your event and set up a fundraising page via JustGiving. There is no minimum sponsorship for this challenge, so please feel free to set your own target. All we ask is that you do it safely, and in line with the latest government COVID 19 guidance. Remember every penny you raise will be used to support the provision of lifesaving critical care to severely ill and injured patients across the West Midlands area.

Remember to tag us in on social media @wmcareteam with any photos or videos of your challenge using the hashtag #CARE30for30. Alternatively email them to us as well a This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Raise more than £30 and we will send you a limited edition CARE Team 30-for-30 Medal to show our appreciation.
