WELCOME TO WEST MIDLANDS CARE TEAM
The West Midlands Central Accident, Resuscitation & Emergency (CARE) Team is a charitable organisation who respond to serious medical incidents within the West Midlands, UK.
Working in teams alongside West Midlands Ambulance Service, volunteer doctors, nurses, paramedics and other healthcare professionals deliver enhanced critical care to seriously injured and unwell patients.
The charitable aims of the organisation are the relief of persons suffering injury or illness by the provision of immediate medical care and advancing the study of immediate medical care by the provision of training and research.

The West Midlands CARE Team is delighted to share the news that their Deputy Clinical Director, Mr Andy Thurgood, has become the first non-doctor in the UK to be awarded Consultant (Level 8) Practitioner status in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM). Andy is a consultant nurse and advanced clinical practitioner working in Emergency Medicine in the West Midlands. He is an examiner for the Faculty of Pre-hospital Care, Chairman of the Faculty of Pre-hospital Care Clinical Standards Committee, co-founder of CitizenAid and Medical Director for the West Midlands Fire Service.
