The West Midlands Central Accident Resuscitation and Emergency (CARE) Team, have opened up recruitment for the first time in over 12-months for experienced doctors to join as a Trainee Clinical Lead with the team.
The CARE Team is a busy enhanced care team, dispatched by West Midlands Ambulance Service, responding in a brand new vehicle to around 1,500 critically injured and unwell patients each year.
Successful candidates will help deliver enhanced care to patients alongside a multidisciplinary team of Paramedics, Nurses and ACPs undertaking a Clinical Support role.
The team will be recruiting separately for this role later in the year.
The CARE Team defines itself as a training platform and supports the ongoing development of its members through places on surgical skills courses, high-fidelity simulation days and the DipIMC.
The recruitment phase is always highly competitive because the majority of Clinical Leads go on to gain full time places on PHEM/HEMS platforms across the country.
