CARE take on the Great Birmingham Run!

Support CARE as some of our dedicated team members swap their high vis for running vests to take on the great Birmingham Run!

This year, the Great Birmingham Run has become especially important to our team, as this event will be one of the many ways in which we honour the memory and dedication of our friend and colleague Dr Charlie Crook, who sadly died earlier this year.

Charlie was instrumental in organising the CARE team runners, from inspiring others to sign up to designing the running vests we will be wearing on the day, all whilst training herself to take on the half marathon.

We all miss her very much and will be thinking of her as we take on this challenge.

Despite their vital role, many people are unaware that the CARE Team operates as a charity, relying solely on donations and fundraising efforts to continue their life-saving work. Unlike other emergency services, the CARE Team does not receive NHS or government funding. This means that every piece of specialist equipment, every training session, and every call-out is funded by the generosity of people like you.

Our volunteers are passionate about making a difference. They donate their time and expertise to ensure that our community receives the highest standard of care. To further support our mission, some of our dedicated volunteers will also be participating in the Great Birmingham Run on the 4th May 2025. Their commitment to both the race and our cause highlights the extraordinary lengths they go to in order to support our community.
