Lecture – Basics of POC USS
Senior ED ACP Greg Markham will deliver a talk on the “Basics of Point of Care (POC) Ultrasound Scanning (USS)”
He will cover;
– Basic physiology of ultrasound
– Buttonology
– Probe function and choice
– PHEM/EM application of USS
Workshop – Ultrasound Practice
This workshop will give attendees an opportunity to get hands on with ultrasound machines.
They will be instructed on the following applications;
– Cardiac ECHO/US
– Lungs
– Vascular access – arterial and venous.
Target Audience
Any person from any background that delivers pre-hospital emergency care at any level, from first aiders though to advanced practitioners would benefit from the lecture content.
CPD Certificate
CPD certificates are included for all workshop related events. You’ll be sent a unique code that will be activated when your ticket is checked into the event.
Refunds – Workshops
For Sessions events that feature workshops, there are no refunds within 72 hours of the start time. This is based on no-show rates as high as 35% when we have had a waiting list of people that could not attend, and the fact that it takes significantly more effort and volunteer hours to organise and run a workshops Session.

If the event is sold out, you can add yourself to a waiting list. If tickets become available, the waitlist will be notified in order via email.
