Our New Vehicle

Vehicle Selection

Following an extensive search of the market, identifying suitable vehicles for our emergency responding needs led to a shortlist of makes & models. Volvo XC90 was selected as providing the safety, load carrying, responding comfort and visibility we need.

Volvo Special Vehicles Team have been a supportive and informative service, aiding us with the procurement and delivery. Many thanks Jeanette, Kim & Delia.

Vehicle Design

Reviewing the vehicles from services around the country operating rapid response car platforms, both ambulance vehicles and critical care cars.

Crafting a design, which reflects both the vehicle's intended purpose and the safety features needed, especially the reflective materials.

Developing and incorporating the CARE logo into the design, in order to provide the identity for the team has been a central aim of the process.

A number of designs, through an iterative process, have been conceptualised and rendered before a final design was available for review.

Vehicle Conversion

Support for CARE has been kindly provided by the expert team at Triple9. Specialists in the conversion of blue light emergency response vehicles, they are currently working on the car to ready it for duty.
